Car crash
victim awarded over £4m
December 2002
Lee Sherratt, 22, who was paralysed from the chest down four years ago when a lorry crashed into the back of a van in which he was a
passenger, was awarded £4.75m.
The High Court awarded the damages against the insurers of lorry owners Bence Mobile Partners, whose driver also died in the crash.
Lee, broke his neck in the accident
and spent 13 weeks in hospital,
undergoing painful operations. He
also shattered his chest.
