The Law Society of England and
Wales
The
Law Society of England and Wales
promotes the interests, as well as
regulates the conduct of solicitors
in England and Wales. If you are
dissatisfied with the way your personal
injury claim is being handled by
your solicitor you should contact
the Law Society.
The
Law Society of Scotland
The Law Society of Scotland is the governing body for Scottish solicitors. It was established by the Legal Aid & Solicitors (Scotland) Act in 1949.
The Society promotes the interests of the
solicitors profession in Scotland and the interests of the public in relation to the profession.
All practising solicitors (including
Personal
Injury Solicitors) in Scotland must be members of the Society and must hold a current Practising Certificate which is issued by the Society.
Motor Insurers' Bureau
The Motor Insurers' Bureau (usually abbreviated
to the MIB) was established in 1946 to compensate
the victims of negligent uninsured and untraced motorists. Every insurer underwriting compulsory motor insurance is obliged, by virtue of the Road Traffic Act 1988, to be a member of MIB and to contribute to its funding.

RoSPA is actively involved in the promotion of safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life - at work,
at leisure, in the home, in schools and on the
roads.
The
Criminal Injuries Compensation
Authority (CICA)
The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority is a Non-Departmental Public Body which administers the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
If you have sustained personal
injury as an innocent victim of violent crime or
has been injured trying to apprehend criminals or prevent a
crime, your personal
injury claims should be directed
to the CICA.
